Touch Pads
|
|
| The Omega
Electronics OCP5 touch pad consists of a high grade stainless
steel frame that supports the individual and interlinked
non slip, nonabrasive resilient polyvinyl chloride slats.
The reliability and durability of the touch pad, which
has been designed for sustained heavy duty use is unaffected
by hard water and chemical corrosion. The contact strips
and the surface are adjusted in such manner that any point
on the touch pad reacts to the same force, between two
and three kilograms. It is highly sensitive to local impact
but does not react to an overall change in surface pressure;
thus eliminating false impulses due to waves.
The horizontal contact strips are fixed within the touch
pad and in this way give a timing signal when they close
due to an applied pressure. Ultra long life is guaranteed
with the integration of high quality materials and leading
edge technology, making this product the reference for
swimming timing equipment. Small repairs due to hard use
can even be carried out by the client himself. This way,
no touch pads need to be returned for repair. The OCP5
is available in four sizes that all feature the same top
level of quality. To guarantee this, all components are
carefully selected and thoroughly tested before assembly.
A specially designed storage and transport trolley is
available as a recommended option and can accommodate
up to ten full height OCP5 touch pads. All these advanced
features guarantee accurate results with no compromise. |

ARES TIMER

Advantage of
electronic equipment
Nowadays, it is impossible to imagine timekeeping or data
handling (storing) without electronical equipment. As
you probably know, most of the disciplines need time results
as accurated as 1/100 or even 1/1000sec. Omega Electronics
provides a specific product for aquatic sports which is
the "ARES 21 Aquatics". - This electronic device
elaborated with advanced technical knowledge allows you
to save time and is definitely an absolute precision time
base. All the pool information are centralized in one
single system. Computing of times, variations, ranklists
and results display on the scoreboard are instantaneous.
All these points tell us that it's the best way to manage
an aquatic event because it's the fastest way to obtain
precise results and is moreover quite easy to use. Our
software package covers all aquatic disciplines. Every
software is built according to the FINA rules. A variety
of OE scoreboards may be driven directly by the ARES interface.
These includes single or multi-line numeric boards plus
full matrix devices.
Security around the pool
Obviously, it's really dangerous to deal with high voltage
around the pool unless it’s anyway strictly forbidden.
Our whole installation works with low voltage that makes
ARES21 an autonomous system. It has his own power supply,
and it perfectly works together with a laptop computer.
ARES21 is particularly interesting for swimming pools
which aren't equipped with a specific and separated
timekeeping control room. You may organize an improvised
control room close to the water.

STARTING BLOCS
|
|
Starting block with an integrated detection system
releasing an impulse when the swimmer leaves the block.
At relay events it allows to record on the ARES21 the
negative or positive gaps between two relays. The block
is built in stainless steel. Top surface is 60 x 50
cm.

START TIME
|
|
This compact and reliable acoustic start system has
an integrated flash and loudspeaker. An additional external
flash can be connected to a 12V output. It allows the
race to start without the microphone by simply pressing
the green ready button. The StartTime II includes useful
features such as extra front charger plug, ORA3 sound
sampling, bang simulation and 3 beeps on false start.

SHOT CLOCK
|
|
Electromagnetic two digit display for the countdown
of the 35 seconds. As soon as 0 time is reached an acoustic
signal is emitted from the integrated powerful horn
(104dB). 23 cm digits allows both players and spectators
ample viewing distance.
