FALSE
START DETECTION SYSTEM
The false start monitoring system
is used for athletic events, especially during
major competitions. It is suitable for all levels
of athletics timing installations manufactured
by Omega Electronics and enables up to 10 lanes
to be monitored.
The system takes account of the physiological
response time i.e. the time elapsing between the
starting signal and the last thrust of the athlete's
heel against the starting block. The system memorizes
and prints all the reactions and all the thrusts
occuring in the interval of one second before
and one second after the starting gun. In the
event of a false start, an acoustic signal is
transmitted by the central station to the starter's
headphones. Online data transfer is made possible
via a serial line. An OST4 transducer is included
in the set. |

STARTING
BLOCS
Beside having an extra large non-slip adjustable
footrest, this updated version of starting-blocks
for track & field are a must to improve
the athletes' performances. The footrest is
120x263 mm.

WIND
GAUGE
The device can be used in athletics to meaasure
the wind in the competitor's direction for sprint
races and long jump according to the IAAF rules.
But it also measures the wind direction, so
it can be used in rowing, canoe and kayak.
The Automatic Weather Station incorporates an
innovative wind velocity and direction sensor
that detects Thermal Aura Variation (TAV) caused
by the wind flowing past a heated cylinder.
This is a rugged and reliable, all solid-state
automatic instrument with no moving parts. It
records wind speed and direction, air temperature
and barometric pressure.
This is a compact and completely self-contained
meterological instrument. All components are
enclosed in a sealed, weather proof cylinder.
The package contains a microprocessor for determining
weather parameters, performing self diagnostic
tests and transmiting data and status information.
This is an intelligent device capable of transmitting
data over a RS485 and RS232 serial digital interface.

START
TRANSDUCER
The OST4 is an ultra-light start transducer
that converts sound wave into a pulse of electrical
energy using leading technology that enables
a reaction time of 3/10,000 of a second, by
far exceeding the requirements of the standard
regulations. A red LED signal is shown for the
start detection. Automatic switch on and off
when the device is connected or disconnected
to the interface. The interface can be belt-clipped.

POWERTIME
The software is downloaded through a series
connection (RS232). New versions as well as
new applications are available at all times
free of charge on powertime download. The POWERTIME
has several in/out connectors, so that it can
be linked to the necessary peripherals. One
start entry and one stop are used to connect
push buttons or photocells (extendable up to
9 entries using the optional external connection
boxes).
A serial connection (RS485) is used to connect
the device to a display board (for example the
RollerTime 3340-600) and another series connection
(RS232) is used to connect the device to a PC
so that the results can be transferred to another
software. Thanks to the existing peripherals
the POWERTIME assures the processing of athletic,
ski and swimming (harness with a push button
per swimming line) competitions. It is also
used for measuring speed and has many other
applications.

CONCENTRATION
and START CLOCK
The multifunction start clock LISTO has been
developed to meet the regulations of various
sports such as cycling, skiing and athletics.
The start interval of the countdown can be easily
preset. The start signal can be set either as
a sampled gunshot or a choice of two acoustic
frequencies, the athlete is warned of the approaching
start signal by a series of beeps at one second
intervals. The LISTO clock consists of 105 mm
digits allowing both athlete and officials ample
viewing distance. A red and green signal indicates
whether the athlete can leave or not.
The LISTO 910 is complemented by a day time
display of 70 mm digits. The start clock LISTO
is equipped with an ultra high capacity internal
battery allowing the clock to be operated independently
for up to 30 hours. The control panel is located
on the lower part of the casing in order to
offer the best protection against the elements.
Once a programme has been selected, a remote
control enables standard functions to be carried
out as follows:
- START / STOP
- RESET
- Time setup
The LISTO is fitted with a female camera thread
allowing the clock to be mounted on a tripod.
The basic version LISTO 900 is used in athletics
and indicates the concentration time allowed
to the athletes before each jump or throw.
